In Karten Space we design, construct and operate our own constellation of nanosatellites for the Earth observation, with the mission of supply space based data. We are an enthusiastic team making easier the access and exploitation of all the data captured from the Space.
We are searching for a new team member that wants to face the amazing challenge of develop a new era of satellites.
As a flight software engineer, you will develop software for our nanosatellites systems and subsystems, from EPS to TTC. For that mission, you will perform the following tasks:
Design and develop the embedded systems software.
Define and validate the different operational modes of the embedded software.
Performance test design and execution.
Automated integrations design and implementation.
Implement metrics and tools for the continue tracking and improvement of software state and quality.
Work together with hardware team members to validate and improve nanosatellites systems.
Relevant technical education to at least Bachelor degree.
Experience in C programming.
Experience in microcontrollers development or similar embedded devices.
Skills in hardware and software integrations.
In depth understanding of software debugging.
In depth understanding of test campaigns design and execution.
Experience in designing software specifications and metrics.
Experience validating software embedded systems.
Familiarization with hardware communications protocols (I2C, SPI,…).
In depth understanding of VHDL and Verilog.
English fluency on a professional level.
Strong analytic problem solving skills.
Able to work in team under pressure in a rapidly-changing environment with high workloads.
Strong communication, organization and technical documentation skills.
In depth knowledge of space sector.
Space projects experience.
Experience designing and developing embedded OS distributions (FreerTOS).
Knowledge of software quality standards and methodologies.
Experience in any project technical area such as imaging sensors, SDR, FPGAs…
